Government’s policy paper on pay transparency is being prepared for public consultation
Do you ever wonder if someone at your company, performing exactly the same job, is being paid the same as you?
Stories of pay inequality between employees of different races and genders, or between Bermudians and non-Bermudians, could be backed-up by data – depending on the nature of a new pay transparency policy planned by Government.
Jason Hayward, Minister of Economy and Labour, says the public will get to see the policy paper soon, and it could also ensure that employers must include salary bands in job adds.
The paper has gone to the Labour Advisory Council and Cabinet, and Government is now preparing it for public consultation.
