The Ministry of Public Works advises the public of traffic interruptions on Dutton Avenue associated with the Bacchanal Run event on Saturday, August 1, 2026, with road closures and traffic controls in place from 9pm Saturday, August first until 12am Sunday, August 2. The affected route will include sections of North Shore Road used by race participants.
The road closures are required to facilitate the safe staging of the Bacchanal Run Road Race and to provide a secure route for participants and event officials.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, follow directions from police officers and event marshals, and use alternative routes where possible while the event is underway
