Superintendent Jerome Laws has been employed at the Bermuda Police Service for several decades
A senior officer of the Bermuda Police Service was charged in magistrates court with causing GBH.
Appearing on Monday, 56-year-old Jerome Laws, a superintendent within the BPS, was charged with causing grievious bodily harm by dangerous driving and failure to comply for demand for a breathalyser test without reasonable excuse in Warwick parish.
The offenses are alleged to have occurred on Friday, 19 December 2025.
Mr. Laws was not required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court.
His defense attourney is Charles Richardson.
Magistrate Aura Cassidy granted Mr. Laws bail in the amount of $5,000 and he is due back in the Supreme court during the June arraignment session.
