Smith Mills sets new personal best in Manchester

Bermudian middle-distance runner Nirobi Smith Mills has capped off his preparations for the Junior Pan American Games with an outstanding performance, securing a second-place finish and a new personal best.

Competing in the Men’s 800m ‘B’ Final at the British Milers Club (BMC) Trafford Grand Prix, Smith Mills crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 1:47.67. This superb run saw him finish just behind the winner, Ryan Elston, who clocked a time of 1:47.17.

The result is a significant boost for the Bermudian athlete as he prepares to represent his country at the Junior Pan Am Games in Asunción, Paraguay. His strong performance in Manchester is a clear indicator of his hard work and dedication in the lead-up to the prestigious multi-sport event.
