Somerset Bridge won the toss and elected to bat, posting a total of 158. Allan Douglas anchored their innings with a rapid 44 runs off 42 balls, including 5 fours and a six. Ras Solomon Burrows was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers with 2 wickets for 15 runs.
In reply, the now former cup holders, Willow Cuts, struggled in their chase and were bowled out for 120. While Deunte Darrell top-scored with 33, the day truly belonged to Allan Douglas. Following his crucial batting, he delivered a magnificent bowling performance, claiming 4 wickets for just 9 runs from 6.4 overs to lead Somerset Bridge to a famous victory and the Western County Cup.
