The death of a female visitor marks the 13th road fatality so far in 2026 – already exceeding the 12 road deaths Bermuda typically records in an entire year.
Police declared today that they will be beefing up patrols in a fresh push to make our roads safer.
Sobriety checkpoints will resume this week and officers will be deployed on overtime to help to bolster traffic enforcement.
Police joined Government and road safety officials today at a press conference – where a target was declared to halve serious accidents by 2030.
