The Colts took the lead midway through the first half, breaking the deadlock in the 21st minute when Nzari Paynter found the back of the net, giving the St. George’s Colts a narrow 1-0 advantage that they held until halftime.
The second half saw the Colts maintain control and confirm their victory. The decisive second goal came in the 78th minute when Blaiz Hall successfully found the back of the net, securing the 2-0 scoreline.
The St. George’s Colts now advance to the Quarter-Finals, where they will face the North Village Rams, who won their preliminary match against the PHC Zebras the previous night.
