Two men were injured following a serious road traffic collision involving two motorcycles on Somerset Road in Sandys late Friday night.
Shortly after 9:00pm on Friday, 19 December 2025, police and other emergency services were dispatched to the scene near the junction with Cricket Lane, following reports of a collision between two motorcycles.
Initial enquiries indicate that one motorcycle was exiting the Carousel Liquors property while the second was travelling eastbound along Somerset Road when the collision occurred.
One man was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of a suspected head injury. The second man made his own way to hospital in a private vehicle for medical treatment. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed.
Police remained on scene processing the area, with traffic diversions put in place at Long Bay Lane and Cricket Lane. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes while investigations continued.
