UK lenders expect demand for mortgages to rise in Q2

The BoE’s quarterly Credit Conditions Survey also showed demand for unsecured consumer lending was likely to remain unchanged

International News via Reuters:

British lenders expect to see demand for mortgages rise in the three months to the end of May after being flat at the start of 2026, according to a Bank of England survey published on Thursday.

The BoE’s quarterly Credit Conditions Survey also showed demand for unsecured consumer lending was likely to remain unchanged.

The survey of lenders took place between February 23 and March 13.
