Update: Road closures in St. George’s and Hamilton Parish

Motorists should expect delays as paving work and inspections are carried out

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment today reminding the motoring public of ongoing and upcoming lane closures on key routes in St. George’s and Hamilton Parishes.

In St. George’s, preparation and paving work are underway on Mullet Bay Road, from York Street to Ferry Road. These operations began on Monday, 12 May 2025, and are scheduled to continue through Friday, 11 July 2025. Lane closures will be in effect on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

In Hamilton Parish, sequential lane closures are currently in effect for geotechnical inspections on Harrington Sound Road (near Shark Hole) and North Shore Road (near Shelly Bay Beach). The inspections began on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, and will continue through to Thursday, 22 May 2025, during weekday working hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Ministry representatives are managing traffic controls, including stop-and-go signs and traffic lights. Motorists are advised to proceed cautiously, expect delays, and plan accordingly.
