Witnesses sought after serious motorcycle collision

Police are investigating a collision in St. George’s that left a 65-year-old motorcyclist in hospital with a serious head injury

Shortly after 2:45 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026, Police and other first responders, were dispatched to a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle, just west of the junction of Wellington Slip Road and Mullet Bay Road, St. George’s. 

Reports are the 65-year-old male motorcyclist was riding in a westerly direction along Mullet Bay Road, when he collided with a roadside wall. 

He was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where at last check he continued to receive treatment for what has been deemed a serious head injury. 

An investigation into this collision is now underway and anyone who may have witnessed, or has information on the incident, is asked to contact Police Constable, Shafiyah Thomas, by calling the main police number, 295-00111 or, via email – shafiyah.thomas@bps.bm 

Traffic was restricted to one lane only for approximately two hours while the collision scene was processed. The Bermuda Police Service thanks the public for their cooperation during the traffic restrictions which assisted in delays being kept to a minimum.
