Premier and Finance Minister David Burt delivered a fiscal performance update to the House of Assembly on Friday
Premier David Burt has performed the first verse of his swan song as Finance Minister.
Delivering a fiscal performance update to the House of Assembly on Friday, the Premier cited the Bermuda’s economic position when the PLP returned to power in 2017, and said that, thanks to the collective work of his Government, he will leave office with a much better economy than the one his party inherited.
Premier Burt reiterated his points in conversation with Jasmine Patterson:
Premier Burt says he will provide a further update in November, along with the next phase of tax reductions and relief.
He cited that the first projected Corporate Income Tax collections that are more than 100 million dollars above original estimates at $291million.
